Last updated: June 5, 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Bethel Bible Study application and its associated services (collectively, the "Service"), which are operated by Atlanta Bethel Community Church ("us", "we", or "our").

Our Service allows you to listen to Bible sermons, write personal reflections, and interact with other users by replying to or commenting on their reflections.

By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. User Accounts

To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. When you register, you agree to provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in the immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account. If you sign in using a third-party service like Google, you are responsible for any activities or actions under that authenticated session. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3. User Content and Community Guidelines

Our Service allows you to create, post, and share content, including your written reflections and comments ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for the User Content that you post to the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

Your License to Us: By creating User Content on the Service, you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and providing the Service. This license is limited to the purpose of making your User Content visible to other users as part of the app's features and for our internal purposes to improve the Service. We will not use your personal reflections or comments in our marketing materials without your explicit permission.

Community Guidelines: You agree that your User Content will not:

  • Contain material that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Promote sexually explicit material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property or other rights of any other person.
  • Violate the legal rights (including the rights of publicity and privacy) of others or contain any material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable laws.
  • Be likely to deceive any person, or promote any illegal activity.
  • Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Involve commercial activities or sales, such as contests, sweepstakes, and other sales promotions, bartering, or advertising.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove or refuse to post any User Content for any or no reason in our sole discretion.

4. Our Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, functionality, and the sermons provided are and will remain the exclusive property of Atlanta Bethel Community Church and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of the United States. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

5. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by following the instructions for account deletion outlined in our Privacy Policy or by discontinuing use of the Service.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

Atlanta Bethel Community Church does not warrant that the Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location; that any errors or defects will be corrected; that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or that the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL Atlanta Bethel Community Church, NOR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, OR AGENTS, BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (III) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; AND (IV) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
